Listen to her mischievous laugh!!  She knows I don't like her to climb up the stool.  When she sees the stool is out she rushes over to climb up.  She does that with other things too.  I have blocked off the stairs with the playpen so when the playpen is pulled away from the stairs she rushes over to climb the stairs.  Sometimes she crawls so fast that she biffs it.  It's pretty funny.  She's crawling and her head gets ahead of her hands so she lands on her chest and her arms end up underneath her. :)

Lexi's birthday party

We had a birthday party for Lexi and her cousin Miriam with my sisters.

This is the birthday cake I made for them.  I can't believe it turned out so well since none of Addison's 3 birthday cakes have looked nearly as good.

Opening presents

Lexi loved the cake, I think more than Addy did on her first birthday.

Yesterday my neighbor Jolene watched Addy while Lexi & I went to Costco. Addy plays with Jolene's daughter even though they are a year & a half apart in age. When I got back Jolene said Addy asked her to get down a toy & Jolene told her 'just a second', & Addy replied "Yeah, that's what my mom always says". Lol, in my defense Addy asks non-stop for things & expects them the instant she asks. Sometimes I drop what I'm doing to help her & sometimes I don't. :)

Lexi has been sleeping through the night lately but of course on the night I went out with my sisters & got to bed late she woke up almost every 3 hours!! The other night I went to dinner & a late movie with my sisters. I got to bed at about 11:45. Steve said Lexi woke up at 9:15. Then she woke up at 12:30, 2:30, & 5:30! Then last night she completely slept through the night again! Why do babies do that?! How do they know when we're gone? I put her to bed before I went out so as far as she knew the night started normally. 

Addy's breakfast today: a banana & an orange. She was still hungry so I suggested some things (other than fruit!) & she pulls a grapefruit out of the fridge!! I had to draw the line lol. I told her she could have the grapefruit at lunch or dinner & again suggested some other things she could have. :)

I caught Lexi climbing up the stool & got pictures & cute facial expressions every step of the way. Her victory smile at the end is the best!
