We went to my niece, Grace's baptism on Saturday. The bishop was talking and demonstrating his point with a remote control helicopter. He had Grace's new 13 year old brother, Surprise (adopted from Africa), hold the helicopter and he turned the helicopter on so the blade spun around for a few seconds. Then he stopped it to talk about it. After it stopped Addison yelled "So fuuun!". She is so entertaining these days. She's saying more sentences, most of which are just fragmented words put together. When she doesn't like something she says "I no like it". The other night Steve was putting her to bed and she said something like "Daddy, teddy, bed, rock". I'm not sure what she meant by that. When Steve or I are watching tv and Addison wants to watch her show, she says "I no like tv. I want to watch Dinosaur Train" (or whatever show she wants to watch at the time).

January 2012
The whole reason to post today is because of something funny that happened at church. Today in sacrament meeting a 6 year old boy sitting next to us asked if Addison lost a tooth! I'm assuming he was referring to her gap lol. Poor girl. I think her gap is adorable but I hope it fills in some day :)
December happenings
At the beginning of December we got a visit from Grandma Luke from AZ.
We finally got some cold weather. It's been such a warm winter, which I'm thankful for.
She was supposed to stand on the fireplace next to the angel....she made it there eventually :)

We put up our Christmas tree and took some Christmas pictures (and pregnancy pics).
I'm about 17 weeks pregnant in this picture. I feel like I'm showing so much bigger with this pregnancy.
Then some of my family came to town for Christmas and we went to Planet Play
On Christmas we had the cousins act out the Nativity. Addison was the 'stars in the heavens' :) She did such a great job! It was cute to watch her!

Our little extrovert
Steve and I have determined that Addison is an extrovert. She loves, loves, loves to be around people. She loves when company comes over and she loves being at the store, especially when the cashier pays attention to her. She has no problem walking up to someone at the store to see what they are looking at. If they are looking at something at her height, she will get up right in their face and start talking to them about what they are looking at. Last week Steve and I were at the shoe store and Addy was walking around. Steve said she walked right up to a lady who was kneeling down looking at shoes and got right in her face to look at the shoes too. The lady told her she was friendly.
Today we had a play date scheduled with my friend Erica and her son Austin, and I made the mistake of telling Addison several hours ahead of time that they would be coming over later because all I heard for the next several hours until they came was "I want to see Erica, I want to see Austin", over and over again, lol. After the play date was over and they left Addy took a nap. The first thing I heard her say when she woke up from her nap was "I want to see Erica, I want to see Austin". In case you don't know, extroverts get their energy from other people, by being around other people, whereas introverts (Steve and I) recharge their energy by being alone or sitting quietly. Addison thrives off of people. She NEEDS people around her all the time. She is always talking my ear off, which is no problem. I like that she's like that. I just find it very interesting that I can already tell this characteristic about her. And it's amusing. This girl is going to wear her introverted parents out! LOL. She's going to be a social butterfly.

Addison slept in until 8:15 this morning. It was so nice - she has never slept in that late. The first thing she said to me when I went to get her out of her crib was "Daddy work?" I told her that it was Saturday so he didn't have to go to work today. Then she said "Church?" I told her that was tomorrow, on Sunday, and that today was a play day! Then she repeated "play day". It was so cute that she was trying to figure out what day it was. I try to be specific with her so she will learn. Sometimes I'm surprised by how much she seems to know and understand.
