I got Addy a special coloring book and special markers that only color on the special paper so she can't color on herself or furniture or walls.  She only colors in it if I color with her though, just like her toys - she doesn't usually play with her toys unless someone plays with her.  With the coloring, if I start to color a lot she will take the marker away so she can color with it.  She would do the same thing when we colored with crayons.  If I got to coloring a lot she would take the crayon away so she could use it.  Tonight I was coloring with her and as I started to color a lot Addy said "No mommy, no mommy.  I do it" while trying to move her marker underneath mine so she could color and so I would stop coloring lol.

Addison was being silly today.  Instead of eating her lunch that you see on the table, she was drinking her water and spitting a little bit out.  By the end, the whole front of her shirt was soaked.  She is such a fickle eater, as are most two year olds I guess.  She ended up not eating her lunch.  I guess she may have had too many snacks at church.  And speaking of her eating habits, I took her to the doctor this past week for a 2 year well-check.  She weighs 24 pounds which is the 16th percentile for weight, she is 33 inches tall which is the 51st percentile for height, and her BMI is in the 14th percentile.  She didn't cry at all at the doctor.  Both the doctor and the nurse commented separately that they haven't had a two year old this good/cooperative in a long time.  It was a very pleasant visit.  Thank you Addison!  I appreciate it when she's so good in public.  

Addison's 2nd Birthday

Addy on her birthday.  She looks so grown up!  She's not a baby anymore.  She didn't get to open presents or eat birthday cake until the next day since Steve didn't get home from work until after her bedtime.  So she's wearing several different outfits in her birthday pictures.

Steve was changing Addison's dirty diaper and it was a bad one.  He accidentally touched it and started freaking out.  Addy said "Daddy crying" lol

Addy loves to hold the neighbor's baby, Sienna.  She does so well with Sienna.  It gives me hope that she's going to be such a good big sister when her little sister arrives.  The several times I have babysat Sienna, Addy hasn't gotten jealous when I feed her or hold her.  I'm sure though that when the baby arrives and doesn't ever leave, there will be some jealousy.  Addison loves attention from mom and dad.  She doesn't play with her toys unless we play with her.  It's frustrating, but I don't know how to change that.

Addison usually sits at the table to eat and her food is usually on a plate but she insisted she eat right out of the container this time.

23 weeks pregnant

Aunt Courtney got Addison a tutu to wear at her wedding in May.  We're just trying it on.

Addy's hair is finally long enough to get in her eyes.  She needs barretts to keep it out of her eyes.
