Lexi will be 4 weeks old tomorow. She doesn't sleep much at night. So when Steve went back to work when Lexi was a week and a half old I was probably getting 2-4 hours of sleep at night and if I was lucky and both girls took a nap at the same time I would maybe get a one hour nap in the day. I felt fine considering the little sleep I was getting, but when Lexi was two weeks old I got mastitis. The past two weeks have been rough to say the least. I've just had to stay in bed and get babysitters for Addison. I felt like I had the flu for a couple of days. As if having a newborn and not getting much sleep isn't hard enough, try doing it while feeling like you have the flu! And what's even better is mastitis can come back anytime if I overdo it. So I'm just a little stressed. Sorry to our dads who didn't get a Father's Day card this year! We've just been trying to survive these past few weeks. (Maybe when we start to get more sleep we'll post pictures on here).
On a positive note, Addison has been so sweet with Lexi. She's so gentle and loving to her. She says "I love Lexi".
Yesterday Addison seemed to have a stuffy nose so we kept telling her to stay away from Lexi because she is sick. Then Addison wanted to help Steve cook and we told her she couldn't help because she is sick. She was watching Dora the Explorer which is a show that teaches Spanish. On the show they told everyone to say "verde" and Steve asked Addison "Can you say Verde?" and Addison said "I can't, I'm sick" haha
