Bowling

Lexi climbed up while we were trying to get her ready for bed and announced "I'm the king of the mountain!"

My niece and nephew.  Forrest just got home from his mission in Mozambique, Africa.  He had a long layover in SLC on his way to Colorado Springs so we met up with him.

Took him out to lunch with the Weights

We went to Lava Hot Springs one weekend but I didn't take any pictures at the hot springs.  The girls actually enjoyed the hotel pool better than the hot springs.

One took off an article of clothing and the other one copied until they were naked.  Two 3-year-olds running around naked!

Lexi's birthday cake.  It was fun decorating this but I wouldn't be able to do it like this without the store bought tubes of frosting.  They don't have peach frosting so Dora is Caucasian :)

April pictures

Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Reed had their 70th wedding anniversary.  So we had lots of visitors

Lexi would put on this mask and roar (even though it's a sweet kitty mask lol).  We would act scared and then she would take the mask off and say "It's just me".

Steve with his cousins

If it seems like I post more pictures of Lexi than Addy it's because Addy doesn't like me taking her picture.  She usually runs away or hides.

Cousins.  Lexi is 10 months older than Olivia but I think they are the same size

Steve's brother, Doug, is on the far right.  Cousins in between

Doug playing computer games "with" Addy and they are laughing because he's struggling :)  Addy loves to watch someone play computer games and every once in awhile she likes to jump in and play

I love watching them sleep :)

Easter egg hunt.  It was freezing and windy, bad combination!

Books

When I was little my mom would read chapter books to my brothers and I, and I did not like it because my mind would always wander.  I had the hardest time paying attention.  I would have rather read it myself.  One book she read I could only remember the title but not much about the book.  I just remember it was a good one for the imagination.  It's called The Last of the Really Great Whangdoodles by Julie Andrews.  I recently bought it and thought I'd see if Addison was interested in having me read it to her because I just wanted to pass on the torture ;) Lol just kidding, mom, it wasn't torture.  To my surprise she loved me reading it to her even though there were no pictures.  And I really enjoyed reading it to her.  She even asks me to read to her now, whichever book we're reading.  Now we're reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory since we finished the other book.  And I'm loving sharing the things I enjoyed from my childhood with my kids.  Sometimes when I start to wonder if she's actually paying attention she'll comment on something I just read that shows that she's getting it.  It's awesome.  One thing that's kind of funny, sometimes, is how often she interrupts.  But if I'm patient she is just wanting to comment or talk about something I just read.  She's just experiencing the book out loud and it's great that I get to experience it with her.  After we're done reading Charlie and the Chocolate Factory we're going to watch the movie, of course! We can't wait!

A movie I loved from my childhood is The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.  I don't know if I ever read the book but that might be the next one, if it's not too long.
